Native Games

Experience the fun and excitement of Native Games and celebrate Cherokee culture with us! This event, held in collaboration with the Cherokee Nation, is a qualifying tournament for the Native Games championship.

Visitors can watch seven different competitions in one day: blowgun, chunkey, the cornstalk shoot, the hatchet throw, horseshoes, marbles and the stickball shootout.

All Native Games are open to the public with free admission for spectators and competitors. Alongside the competition, many Cherokee National Treasures are presenting artist demonstrations, and their artwork will be available to purchase. Visitors may also enjoy a free “Make & Take” clay medallion craft activity to take home. A food truck will be on site with concessions for sale at this event.
