CULTURAL THREAD

The first Ribbon Skirt Fashion Show was held at the Cherokee Nation Anna Mitchell Cultural & Welcome Center in Vinita, Oklahoma. The event featured Cherokee artists known for their ribbon skirt designs and their work. As part of the event, there was a presentation on the history and evolution of the Cherokee Ribbon Skirt. An artist market was held in conjunction with the fashion show, where attendees were able to purchase work from the artists.
